Stephen

Stephen started early in the industry, making funeral hardware for his father’s company when he was just 12 years old. Having worked with a number of funeral companies prior to owning Epsom Funeral Home (EFH), he has gained a lot of insight and experience as to the very best techniques and care that are aligned with EFH’s philosophy.

In his spare time, he enjoys being at home with his wife Leesa, spending time with their two grown boys and their partners, having family meals, watching motor racing, and gardening.

Leesa

Before becoming a funeral director, Leesa was the national sales manager for Stendhal cosmetics and the national make-up artist for Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent, and Dior. Her passion and care for creating beautiful experiences for people is something that she brings from her time in the cosmetics industry to her work at Epsom Funeral Home.

Leesa also has a lifelong love of animals. Aside from taking care of their four dogs, she fosters and re-homes animals, seeing to it that they are placed with people who will give them the same level of loving attention.

Sue has been in the funeral industry for five years, having previously worked in the medical field. She speaks both Mandarin and Cantonese, and is knowledgeable in the customs and traditions of different Chinese provinces. Her warmth, care, and attention to detail help put families at ease and bring a sense of calm. For the past nine years, she and her family have called New Zealand home.

Her favourite pastime is running after her two wee girls while exploring the northern beaches and spending quality family time.
